| I had a dream that I was visiting an
old, childhood friend; whom I have not seen for years.
However, I went for a walk and forgot where she lived. I
was searching endlessly for her house. I looked around
and observed the old neighbourhood where I lived. It
looked just like it did, very run-down. All of a sudden
monkeys surrounded me. They were soft, peaceful and
loving. One of them began to play with my hair, and
another monkey said, "Do not worry, everything will
be O.K." I never had a dream that I felt so
comforted in. What does this mean? I would really
appreciate your help. Evelina DSpr400944@aol.com

Hi,
I found that monkeys are often associated with our
irrational side, or the fool. You know that expression
"monkeying around". In my family we quite often
sit around and do the nurturing bit, you know foot
massages, back rubs, eating lice and stuff. It makes me
think of the family unit. I did hear that we can have
more than one guide. And this is probably our primary
family .... (primates). You must have been needing some
kind of comfort and nurturing , I think your beings want
you to know that they love you and they are right there
with you , even if you can't see them , you can feel them
. They are wanting to have a relationship with you . I
would also say they must have a good sense of humour.
I do believe that dreams mean something , especially when
they are remembered or stand out . You have to kind of
figure out what the symbols mean to you , after all they
filtered out through your head. Monkeys for example ,
what are your associations with that? Do they represent any kind of
primitive instincts that maybe buried in yourself and
that are needing to be expressed? Maybe some primary
needs. It seems to be that self love and nurturing are
what the monkeys were showing you . It is
very intimate to have your hair touched. It is very hard
sometimes to try and figure out if you are loving
yourself, and just how to do that. You are searching for
a friends house . I have read that everything in the
dream is you. Visiting a childhood friend ..... your
inner child . where did she go ...?
So are you really looking for your (friends house) or a
very much missed part of your self? You are looking on
the outside of yourself. (are you feeling run down)?
just a few more thoughts
